About a month before my TEDx Talk, everything changed. What I thought would be my original topic was turned upside down by a vision—an overwhelming realization that there was a much bigger message I needed to share. That’s when it became crystal clear: my talk had to be about sensory-friendly bathrooms.

This wasn’t just about a single stage or a single moment. It became a mission to address one of the most overlooked silent struggles. The immense challenge faced by 1% of the population who navigate the world with sensory needs. What is a basic facility for most becomes an overwhelming obstacle for others. For this community, having access to sensory-supported bathrooms is life-changing. It’s about dignity, accessibility, and inclusion.

I saw the bigger picture.

This wasn’t just a talk; it was a call to action—to send this message to the world and encourage people everywhere to share and amplify the movement.

The road to TEDx wasn’t smooth. Crafting this talk required endless hours, countless revisions, and an emotional toll. There were moments of frustration—moments when I wanted to give up because the hurdles felt insurmountable. It wasn’t just about the words; it was about the time I sacrificed with my children, the communication struggles, and the relentless pursuit of making this vision impactful.

Yet, despite it all, I pressed on. Why? Because this was so much more than a talk.

This was about giving a voice to those who have none. It was about shining a light on a struggle many people don’t see, advocating for change, and ensuring that something so fundamental is no longer a barrier for neurodivergent individuals.

When I stood on that TEDx stage, it wasn’t just me up there. It was the collective voice of everyone who has faced this silent struggle.

This talk isn’t the end—it’s the beginning of a movement.

A movement to push companies, communities, and policymakers to act.

A movement to ensure inclusivity isn’t just an idea but a reality.

This story is a testament to perseverance, passion, and the power of standing up for what truly matters. Together, we can create real, tangible change.
